Paul Keane

Paul read for his primary degree in Law in Trinity College, Dublin and his Masters Degree in Law at the London School of Economics. He qualified as a solicitor in 1979.
He is an Associate of the Institute of Taxation in Ireland and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. He holds a diploma in Legal French.
Paul has lectured widely in Ireland and abroad. He has written or co-authored numerous articles, conference papers and contributions including chapters in the International Taxation of E-Commerce, published by Kluwer and the Business Law Manual published by Oxford University Press.
Paul has distinguished experience in commercial and taxation matters. His main areas of interest are corporate law, insolvency, commercial transactions, and related taxation.
Paul is vice-chair of the Business Law Committee of the Law Society of Ireland, and was formerly chairperson of the Business Law Committee and the Probate and Taxation Law Committee of the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association. He is the nominee of the Law Society to the network of experts on contract law established by the Commission of the European Union as part of its project on European Contract Law and of the working group on European Contract Law of the CCBE.
In 2010, he was appointed the Honorary Consul General of Sweden.
Paul is the Managing Partner of the firm. In addition to his work as a lawyer, he also acts as business advisor to and director of a number of companies.
