National Elections in Sweden - Voting at the Consulate

Swedes will be going to the polls on Sunday 9 September this year to vote for the Riksdag, county councils and the municipal councils.

Swedes living in Ireland or in Ireland during the voting period are allowed to vote at the Swedish Consulate in Dublin on the following dates:

Saturday 25 August: 14:00 – 17:00

Tuesday 28 August: 18:00 – 20:00

Postal voting from abroad

Individuals who are entitled to vote and live to far from or are unable to travel to Dublin may vote by post. Seafarers on ships in international traffic may also vote by post. Postal votes can be mailed from abroad 45 days before Election Day at the earliest. Postal votes may not be mailed from Sweden.

Special material is required for postal voting. The material may be ordered from the Election Authority or from the Swedish Consulate in Dublin. Please send an email to dublin.swecons@reddycharlton.ie

Postal votes must be sent from abroad and must arrive in time for the counting of votes.
