What we do

We have considerable experience in advising on contentious and non-contentious employment law issues. Here are some examples of what we have done recently:-

  • Drafting contracts of employment, consultancy agreements, workplace procedures and staff handbooks
  • Acting as independent workplace investigators
  • Advising on how to deal with workplace investigations, grievance and disciplinary procedures
  • Advising on how to manage the dismissal process
  • Defending various types of employment claims such as unfair dismissal, workplace stress, bullying and harassment, discrimination and payment of wages
  • Employer insolvency
  • Pension issues

We have also advised employees, in particular, executive level employees, in relation to their contractual entitlements, termination of employment and employment injunctions.

In conjunction with our commercial department we have advised a significant  number of businesses in relation to the employment issues associated with buying and selling a business and outsourcing services.  

We have represented clients in all employment law including, the Employment Appeals Tribunal, the Rights Commissioner, Labour Court and the civil courts.

What we have done for others

Clients, with whom we have worked, include:-

  • International organisations setting up business in Ireland
  • Private companies and public sector employers in a diverse range of industries including the retail industry, manufacturing industry, hospitality industry, motor industry, construction industry and the services sector
  • Companies entering examinership and liquidation
